REPAIR COUP IN BACA

All photos in: http://chapucillas.acmur.es/

In this "tinkerer" let's see how repair a tap on the roof, located specifically in models of signature Moncayo Halcon, this incident occurred when attempting to pass under a stone arch whose gauge did not permit.
At first glance, this coup is very spectacular, but if you look in detail, we see that it is not, damaged the trim of the roof rack bar and two of its supports to the ceiling.
The trim bar in upper curvature, has a small brush which due to its complication to fix it is better to prevent, this bar is also diverted into the roof, forced in part by the deformation of the uprights.
The first is to remove the rivets of such media and see that the bar has a junction just after her second support, facilitating their removal without having to remove more.
Are then removed three screws on each bracket, which are fixed to the roof of the AC (MH), and can be repaired deformation of such media, fixing them in a vice and acting with a plastic hammer, these are aluminum , to restore its original form and then paint them with spray paint at a distance of 25 to 30 cm.
Now we act to correct the deviation of the bar, helped by a rule to let perfectly aligned, as due to impact, the rivets that held to its support have burst their holes, they have been great to get new rivets of the same caliber reattached to the same holes, it is therefore proceed to hammer home these holes in the bar with the help of a metal hammer, which can close or reduce the flaring of these holes, having to spend a bit again to leave these to the diameter suitable.
We now proceed to remove the old Sikaflex with the help of a cutter and remove debris and dirt around, now, screw the brackets to the ceiling, previously we have plenty of new Sikaflex, to eliminate risks of damp.
Then we placed the bar and subject is repaired and the carriers with new rivets, moving this to its original site and "nothing happened here."
Cost of the operation: 1 hour labor
4 rivets aluminum
A bit of Sikaflex
A little spray paint
