Hi
I am new to Motorhome driving, bought a Fiat 1900 jtd Autoroller, in October it is a 2001 reg. Could anyone tell me what kind of miles to the gallon I can expect to get from it please. I try to keep it at a reasonable speed, i.e 55/60 mph.
Thanks for any help you can give

I reckon you should get 20 to 25 if you drive like you say you do , especially on motorways and bypasses etc , but it is all down to how you drive as youll know anyway , good luck .

I have a 1992 Renault Master panel van conversion, old fashioned 2.5 litre non-turbo diesel: it does about 26mpg.

I also have a 2006 2.8litre HDI Peugeot Boxer based Autocruise with a max gross weight of over 4000kg: it does about 26mpg.

I have seen people reporting average 20mpg and some reporting over 30mpg for their motorhomes: I think you'll just have to do your own checks over say two or three tank fills and then you'll have a good idea.

I've got a 1993 1.9 TD Ducato and I get 26 on motorways driving 55-60 and 30 or more driving on main roads/country lanes driving 40 -50.

Hi Chalkyboy,
I actually had one of these, 2001 1.9 TD (Over cab) and very good it was too. (Not sure if the "J" comes into It??). At 50/60 MPH about 22/24 MPG, you will have to use the gearbox quite a bit to keep it spinning. Do not use 5th gear for the first 5 or 6 miles from cold, dont change into 5th gear below 58 mph.
cheers hagar.
